Cape Domaine Mendoza Chardonnay
The “Mendoza” clone is renowned for producing some of Margaret River’s best Chardonnay. It develops “hens and chicks”, where the berry size is uneven. This results in higher skin to juice ratio, lighter palate weight, yet with greater flavour intensity. The 2017 Mendoza Chardonnay, is made in a fresh, zesty, unwooded style using grapes from the Vintners Edge family owned Margaret River vineyard. Aromas of lime, gooseberry and honey are complimented by delicate stone-fruit, honeydew and citrus flavours. Over past 18 years the Vintners Edge vineyard has been selling its Mendoza Chardonnay to a variety of well known wineries.
